Vector Beta Ti 460cc MFThey say that Necessity is the Mother Of Invention.
For 2007 we have a remarkable new driver called the Vector Beta Ti 460 Multi-Face. For those with a swing speed under 105 mph, it will out hit ANY other driver guaranteed. The technology behind this head is real and you will see pictures of it below. In our Vector 444 driver we are at 2.7 mm on the 10.5 and the 12, and at 2.85 mm on the 6.5 and the 9 and we are right at the edge of the USGA limit on spring effect, the only reason we can even go this thin is the quality of the 15-3-3-3 Beta-Ti we use, the world's best. On the new 460 MF we have thinned the face to 1.5 mm which is 1/2 as thick as your driver and has a tremendous spring effect but which up until now has been unheard of in golf because if you hit it good and solid it would flex so much that it would cave in. We have solved the problem by putting a second face inside behind the first face with just enough of a gap in between to get that spring but just where it would over flex and break the second face kicks in as a backstop to prevent failure. The other design features that contribute to the extreme high performance of this head are the use of our proprietary TC-101 Beta alloy in the entire body of the head which gives it the stiffest body of any jumbo driver, this reduces body flex which necessarily makes the face flex more and increases energy transfer to the ball. Our strong toe provides more mass in this area for less loss of distance on high toe shots, a design feature we have utilized since the original Stiletto driver in 1996, the driver that pioneered the use of Beta Ti. - David Dugally, The Golf Coast ![]() Cross Section of the Vector Beta-Ti 460cc MF Driver Head.
